The location of the scene where Ally gives on of her most memorable quotes, "I have dessert first", the Gandhi restaurant serves delicious classic Indian cuisine. Located in the East Village, the restaurant is decorated with wonderful designs of India. The setting is romantic, the rooms are large for comfortable dining, the staff is very friendly and the food is great, relatively inexpensive and plentiful. Dining here, you will never feel rushed. Specialty dishes include Chicken Tikka Musallam, beautifully made samosas and soft and puffy poori bread. There is a variety of special Indian brews in the bar to try too!
If you go, order the special Chicken Tikka Musallam which comes with poori bread and dessert. Add a Kingfisher and dare to ask for the dessert first!
